Thank you for your ongoing patience while we work to progress development of The Parks Red Hill.
In this end of year update we are pleased to share with you some significant project milestones.
Completion of civil works
All civil and infrastructure works on the site are now complete.
The new footpaths, roads and landscaping are finished and open for public use.
Pedestrian walkways through the site from Beagle and Norfolk Streets will re-open on 18 December 2020 for public use over the Christmas period.
Some pedestrian access through the site may need to be restricted once again for safety reasons after major construction activity commences, however this will be re-assessed in 2021 and the community kept updated.
Work is almost complete on the redeveloped Lady Nelson Park. We look forward to the grand re-opening with the community early in 2021 – stay tuned for more details closer to the time.
Work on the six neighbourhood landscaped parks will also begin shortly.
During civil works almost 18,000 square metres of asphalt, over 3,500 metres of kerbs and guttering, and nearly 2,000 metres of sewage pipework have been laid. New streetlights, electrical substations and 2,200 metres of stormwater drainage have been installed.
Commencement of construction
Stockland has now sold all 25 vacant blocks with settlement due to occur in early 2021 once registration is complete.
Once settlement occurs, the new owners will then progress their own building programs on the land lots.
These builds will occur independently from Stockland and DOMA and be managed by the new owners who will engage their own builders.
Homes constructed on the land lots will need to comply with the design guidelines and Red Hill Precinct Code.
Stockland has engaged leading local building company PBS Building to construct the 83 high quality premium terrace homes spanning 14 architectural designs.
The construction of the terrace homes will take place in stages.
Construction of the first 22 terrace homes will commence in January 2021, predominantly on the eastern side of the site fronting Cygnet Crescent.
Further updates will be shared with the community regarding the details and timing of subsequent construction stages once confirmed.
DOMA has received development assessment approval for construction of 136 apartments across six apartment blocks.
DOMA has appointed longstanding and highly reputable local construction partner Bloc who will commence building in the second quarter of 2021.
Further details of the apartment construction schedule will be provided early in the new year.
Development Partners Stockland and DOMA wish all Red Hill residents a safe and happy festive season.
The project’s dedicated community engagement toll free hotline and email will remain operational over this period for any urgent matters of community concern.
