BMD will need to extend the shutdown of Endeavour St/Cygnet Crescent until the 4thof September 2020, subject to weather. We extend our apologies for the inconvenience this will cause.

We have experienced an unexpected delay in completing these road works due to an existing ‘live’ electrical substation cabling being in the incorrect alignment. This has required the relevant authorities to relocate it before we could complete the water and stormwater services.

Despite the above and recent poor weather, we have been able to take the opportunity to accelerate the road excavation and kerb preparation work. This will enable us to reduce the total overall road closure time by condensing works to a single stage rather than the previously envisaged two stages. Consequently, we will not need to close the road again following completion of the current works.

In response to community feedback, we have also installed additional road closure signage to provide advanced warnings of the road closure. We have found this to be successful and thank you for your feedback.

We will continue to maintain pedestrian access during this shutdown and have traffic control controllers in operation when excavator and plant movements are in the vicinity of the temporary footpath.

BMD understand that this is an inconvenience and hopes to work together to drive long-term improvement to your neighbourhood.

Your patience and co-operation is greatly appreciated while the works are under way. If you have any questions about these works or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact BMD.
