New Year update & upcoming road closures

Updated: Feb 1, 2021

Development partners Stockland and DOMA hope you had a nice festive season and wish all Red Hill residents a Happy New Year.

With works recommencing at The Parks after the Christmas shutdown, we wish to provide our Red Hill residents with an update about current and future construction activities at the site, as well as notify you of some upcoming road closures.

Construction commencement of The Terrace by Stockland

Our builder partner, PBS Building (PBS), has established on site and commenced bulk excavation across stage 1A consisting of 22 luxury homes.

The new footpaths, roads and landscaping are complete and open for public use. We note some pedestrian access through the site may need to be restricted during the course of construction to ensure safety is maintained. We will keep the community updated on proposed changes.

Work is continuing on the redeveloped The Lady Nelson Park. We look forward to the opening in early 2021 – stay tuned for more details closer to the time.

Traffic and Pedestrian Management

As part of the construction of The Terraces of stage 1A, we require the partial closure of Cygnet Crescent and full closure of Cimba & Aviemore Lane as per the enclosed Temporary Traffic Management Plans. The closure will be of the roadways and footpaths within these areas.

PBS Building anticipate the closure will commence from 4 February subject to Territory approval. These proposed closures will be for the duration of home construction.

This road and footpath closure is necessary for the safety of both workers and members of the public. If you have any questions about these works or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Commencement of construction on vacant blocks

Stockland has sold all 25 vacant blocks with settlement due to occur in February 2021 once registration is complete.

Once settlement occurs, the new owners will then progress their own building programs on the land blocks. These builds will occur independently from Stockland and DOMA and be managed by the new owners who will engage their own builders.

  • DOMA has received development assessment approval for construction of 136 apartments across six apartment blocks.

  • DOMA, and their builder partner Bloc, are due to commence building in the second quarter of 2021.
