Site remediation works
Following on from our update in August, we can advise that preliminary remediation works to remove areas of top soil across the site are expected to be to be completed this week.
We have now also obtained endorsement of our Remediation Action Plan (RAP) from the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) and will be proceeding with full site remediation.
We expect the full site remediation works to take approximately four months to complete.
All remediation works will be managed by our contractor BMD Urban under the supervision of a specialist hygienist consultant (who is an ACT licensed asbestos assessor).
These works will be carried out in strict accordance with the approved RAP, required procedures and industry best-practice safety measures to ensure any asbestos materials are properly contained and removed safely.
This includes continuing our precautionary air monitoring, utilising dust minimisation measures and the appropriate transport of materials along approved haulage routes.
The wellbeing of residents, workers and the wider community is our priority.
As a result of the work outlined above, you will notice an increase in activity onsite and more vehicle movements to and from the site.
We will provide further updates to the community outlining any changes to pedestrian and traffic routes in due course.
Sales and Information Centre
Work is continuing on construction of the Sales and Information Centre and we anticipate this opening in November.
In the interim we’re pleased to advise that we have commenced our first release of land, terraces and apartment sales to market. Further details about these are available on the sales and marketing website for the project at https://theparksredhill.com.au/
Below is an artist’s impression of the terraces.
We look forward to providing you with further updates on the project’s progress.
